The Buckeyes pulled off exactly what

1) the Hoosiers need to get back in the title chase

2) the Badgers need to win the title outright

The game was as exciting to watch as it was critical to the title chase. With time running out, the score tied and Ohio State with the possession, Purdue did what they had to defensively to force overtime. Unfortunately, Ohio State willed themselves to a 3 point win with their worst free-throw shooter hitting both his free throws to put the game out of reach even if the Boilermakers did hit a 2 point tip-in with 1.1 seconds remaining in overtime. A well played game by both teams and now Ohio State is back on the bubble with their first ‘quality’ win. This might not be a 4 bid tournament conference after all.

Now if only Penn State can pull off the impossible and upend the Badgers in Madison tomorrow night… The couch fires shall be burning for a week in Bloomington.
