Week 3 Blogpoll has Penn State #9, Evans and Koroma

Well, fellow bloggers, yesterday I wrote of the national pollster’s reluctance to rank Penn State in the top Ten, where we should be. Yesterday, MGoBlog released the Week 3 Blogpoll and the valiant bloggers of this great country showed no restraint in ranking Penn State #9. Take that, East Carolina, Ohio State, BYU, South Florida, Alabama, Oregon, Texas Tech, and Auburn! MGoBlog has carefully detailed what makes the BlogPoll superior to the Coaches or AP Polls, so let’s consider Penn State #9 instead of #16. Who’s with me?
Oh yeah, as everyone with a Penn State blog has noted, Maurice Evans and Abe Koroma were charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana. They’ve already argued why Evans and Koroma should be back for Illinois, and I can’t disagree. The fact of the matter is that boys will be boys, that marijuana possession is as close to a victimless crime as there can be, and frankly, it’s not that big of a deal. Let’s only hope Joe Paterno isn’t going to do anything rash like kick them off the team. We might not need Evans against the Illini, but we’ll need them for Ohio State and Wisconsin.

Actually I never argued that they should be back. I do feel that they should be back at some point though.
