Suuuree.. You’re Alabama
Its funny that Michigan blogs have been citing Alabama’s resurgence as rationalization for everything that has happened this year (which I correctly predicted by the way and was ripped apart by Michigan fans for in the summer), that somehow Alabama’s 6-7 finish in the SEC is comparable to what will eventually be a Notre Dame like season for Michigan. Though Alabama did lose to Louisiana-Monroe last year, they were still almost bowl eligible, Michigan is struggling just not to go winless in the last few games.
Now which is more reflective of the Michigan team. A Notre Dame team that couldn’t limit its mistakes last year and struggled just to not go winless in the season or an Alabama team that beat Vanderbilt, ranked Arkansas and ranked Tennessee but lost to Georgia in overtime, and LSU by a touchdown?
Suuuuurreee… Alabama is your rationalization for this year. Enjoy it while you can, because next year you’ll have to pick a new team to pretend to emulate.
