PSU at the Polls: 4th in the Big Ten

Submitted by Devon on February 23, 2009 – View Comments

Not much news here, but after a week in which they received just two votes in the coaches poll and none in the AP, Penn State ranked slightly higher in this weeks polls.  They ranked 37th in the AP poll, with 8 votes, and 31st in the Coaches Poll, with 10 points.

Strangely, we were the only Big Ten team, after Michigan State (9/9), Purdue (16/16), and Illinois (20/20) that received any votes in either poll.  In the minds of the coaches and media, at the very least, we’re ahead of Ohio State, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.  It doesn’t mean much, but it can’t hurt.
