Overreaction to overreacting
So somehow pointing out that we as a team managed to make a difference or hell, even an impact in the tournament we were forced to play in is an overreaction.
I really don’t care if anyone outside of Happy Valley cares about the NIT. But just because both your football and basketball programs have not made a blimp on the national scene in recent years, don’t take it out on someone else who managed to accomplish what they set out to do after Selection Sunday.
Just because you’re depressed attending a game reminds you of living next to the train tracks, doesn’t mean we aren’t allowed to be happy for our team we hold dear to our heart.
Sure remind us of our dismal home attendance at the bryce jordan center, but let’s not forget it wasn’t that long ago (2008 in fact) when Mackey arena couldn’t sell out. When your football program performs the way it does, and the only real accomplishment out of West Lafayette is winning the Rude Goldberg competition (talk about winning something no one cares about), that’s pretty sad. So let’s not be throwing stones when you live in a glass house.
So excuse me for accurately pointing out that Penn State actually won their tournament while your Purdue squad is back home watching the rest of its tournament on a couch. I guess my overreaction got the better of me.
So while I lay restless and unable to sleep tonight worried that someone in Indiana doesn’t care what I am excited about, I will take solace in the fact that I really don’t know anyone from Indiana.
Keep your backhanded compliments to yourself. If anyone knows about mediocrity and insignificance, it would be Purdue.

My goodness, how long are you going to be salty about this?
If you’re going to post silly things about championship banners and act as though anyone in their right mind would choose winning the NIT over making the NCAA tourney, you’re going to receive some criticism.
Take it as a compliment that others are reading your fine and thorough site. Sheesh.
