Iowa Game will be played under the lights

Submitted by Charlie on April 9, 2009 – View Comments

Game time for Iowa has been announced for 8pm.

The Northwestern Game will be played at 4:30 pm.

The Ohio State game will not be played at night [Edit 04/14/09] supposedly due to new Big Ten rules discouraging night games in November due to “contractual provisions” already in place for several years now between the Big Ten and television networks. Would make sense considering Big Ten country enters a deep freeze around that time of year and night games will only subject Big Ten fans to unbearable conditions.

Is there a link or is this info from friends of the program?

Info actually received yesterday by those in the department, but only confirmed online today by Jay Paterno. The last bit about new Big Ten rules have yet to be confirmed, but I’m assuming the source was pretty reliable. But I’ll have updates on the new rules as they surface.
