THE STATE OF CHAMPIONS! Penguins add to Michigan Heartache

So there is simply no question which state currently rules the world of sports. From the Pittsburgh Steelers, to the Philadelphia Phillies, and now the newest member of the club, the Pittsburgh Penguins, life is good in the Keystone State.
You really have to feel for the State of Michigan though. Other than Michigan State’s basketball appearance, they have the Detroit Lions, Pistons, Wolverines and Red Wings to live with.
But congratulations to the Pittsburgh Penguins we can be positive that the Stanley Cup will be making an apperance in State College sometime this following year. Let’s hope we can add the BCS title to the Keystone State as well.

Stupid Sixers.
And of course the Philadelphia Soul!
I'm really sick of hearing how Detroit's loss is more crushing because of the economic environment they are supposedly having. Everyone else is having it, Detroit is no different. Just because we associate the failing car companies with the city doesn't mean they are somehow in a worst financial state than people in California where foreclosure is higher, or unemployment in any other city. Remember the Steel industry that collapsed? Well guess where that was based in. I'm not trying to be mean, we all suffered, but when people want to talk about sports being a temporary escape from the real world, then leave the real world behind. Great game by both teams. Now let's go Lakers!
