Nittany Jackson
With the news of the passing of the legendary Michael Jackson on Thursday I wondered how I could properly mix that news into a Penn State post.  Naturally I thought of one thing; the Nittany Lion performing the Thriller routine.

Who among us has not danced to Thriller, the monumental and ground breaking song by Jackson from the album that propelled Jackson’s solo career?  After the release of his first solo album, Off the Wall, Jackson released his second album, Thriller.  The album would stay on the Billboard 200 for 80- weeks and would see seven of its songs reach the Billboard Hot 100 top ten, including Billie Jean and Beat It.  The music video to Thriller though took the music video genre to new heights and set the tone for Jackson’s legacey of terrific music videos.

So how does Penn State fit into the mix?

Introducing the Nittany Lion…

Rest in peace Michael Jackson, forever the King of Pop.
