As Professor Farnsworth might say, “Good news, everyone.”
And just as in Futurama, this is of course followed by a horrible, terrible announcement.  Namely, that Ed DeChellis has, avoided the chopping block.  Kudos to David Jones on the scoop:
“Yes, Ed will continue to be our head …

Blindfolded Dart Throwing Week 4

Submitted by Charlie on September 24, 2009 – View Comments

The Big Ten had another shot at redemption in week 3 but failed to take advantage of it once again. Iowa was the only team that managed to earn some respectability by beating an average Arizona squad at home. Minnesota gave Cal all it could handle but allowed Best to run roughshod over them for 5 TDs. Notre Dame barely hung on to beat Michigan State, and Northwestern became the first Big Ten team to lose to Syracuse this season. Although Purdue fell flat on their faces in losing to Northern Illinois, the other team from Indiana managed to beat Akron. Penn State, Michigan and Ohio State took care of business without breaking a sweat.

Kevin emerged from the week 2 mess with the best record at 8-2. Devon took a few shots in the dark picking underdogs Toledo, Minnesota and Indiana. Unfortunately only Indiana ended up rewarding Devon in return.

Current Record

8-2

6-4

7-3

Talk about being on the same page. All 3 writers picked the exact same teams to win in all 6 match ups involving Big Ten teams. Guess we’ll have to wait til week 5 for any possible change in the standings.

  • I have a sinking feeling Notre Dame will let us all down. Purdue would not have lost to Oregon if it wasn't for 2 defensive touchdowns by Oregon and can put points up in bunches. Notre Dame hasn't exactly been wowing people on the defensive side either. A combination for disaster. Fortunately all 3 of us picked the Irish. Hah!

Damn, I wanted to pick MSU but figured taking Wisky would be the only way I could gain some ground on you. Shoot.
  • I thought hard about taking Michigan State in the game at Wisconsin, but the Spartans appear to be in a bit of a mess right now. I also thought long and hard about picking Illinois in an upset at Ohio State and to be honest I am not the most confident in my PSU and ND picks.
