I watched that Indiana-Iowa game afterwards.
I cannot believe that PSU lost to those two. They're pathetic.
So you gotta conclude that this PSU bunch has improved somewhat over the course of the season.
That bodes well, because I honestly believed that it wasn't happening during the “streak”.
I thought after three years in the system, Jones and Brooks had just maxed out and would go down in history as recruiting busts. But they've been contributing lately. Jones still has fumbilitis and sometimes can't finish in close and Brooks still launches ill advised threes, but they're offsetting those negatives with good contributions on the glass and scoring in the paint. Perhaps next year when they realize this is their last chance, they'll put it together even more. We may even establish some post presence. Here's hoping anyway. The regular season ends with Sparty and Purdue. I think this PSU team is playing “loose” enough to challenge them both. We could steal one. Purdue looks out of sync with Hummell out. Anywho, I hope we at least win one game in the conference tourney and end the season with some encouraging signs.

i think this just proves that we are not nearly as bad as our record indicates. we are better than indiana, iowa, northwestern, and michigan. its just disheartening to see this team perform like it does in some games, and how they lose them at the end. however, it is nice to see us finally win some games. maybe it will give us some momentum into next year.
