Make it 7: Allen Robinson chooses the Blue and White

Allen Robinson, wide receiver out of St. Mary’s Prep has verbaled to Penn State becoming the 7th member of 2011 recruiting class. Rated a 3 star recruit by both Rivals and Scout, the 6’3″, 190 lb receiver from Orchard Lake, Michigan was a former teammate of fellow St Mary’s Prep alumnus and Penn State QB Rob Bolden just last year.
The speedster reportedly runs a 4.5, 40 yard dash where he was mainly utilized as a wideout, but also contributed on the defensive side of the ball as a defensive back. This past season, he helped his team to a 11-2 overall record before falling in the Division 3 State Tournament Championship game 35-27 to East Grand Rapids despite recording a touchdown catch.
Robinson received his offer from Penn State on Saturday night, before he jumped on the opportunity to commit after talking to linebackers coach Ron Vanderlinden who is responsible for recruiting the state of Michigan turning down scholarship offers from Minnesota, Toledo, Central Michigan and Buffalo. He also received interest from the likes of DelVaughn Alexander, Wisconsin’s wide receiver’s coach and Michigan State.
Allen Robinson is expected to make his official visit to Penn State this weekend.
His vertical is impressive as is his body control on deep balls where he is often coming back for the ball.
How about a little trickeration as well?
