Carroll was appearing on 710 ESPN Seattle's Brock and Salk show and was asked if he would be interested in Kaepernick and another quarterback who has fallen out of favor, Robert Griffin III. Carroll would not rule them out, which constitutes as news these days.

"We're looking at everybody. He was over the center a lot, and he doesn't look like that kind of player in our system to us", Carroll said. We really are. We've been tracking everything that's going on, and we've got cap and roster issues and stuff like that that we're still trying to manage properly.

"We're looking at everybody". But if the Seahawks truly had no interest in either, he easily could say it wasn't something they were considering and they could not realistically be criticized for that stance.

In 11 starts with San Francisco last season, Kaepernick also posted a 59.2 completion percentage, but he threw for 16 touchdowns against four interceptions, with 36 sacks taken and a 90.7 rating.

If you're of the opinion that Colin Kaepernick isn't deserving of an National Football League roster spot, then I don't know how to talk to you so you might as well just bop on out of here right now. But at this point, you can't rule it out either.
