Clouds, chance of rain and thunderstorms expected this weekend

We get warmer each day this weekend.

The holiday weekend will be a little unsettled. Skies will also be primarily cloudy and scattered rain showers are a good bet.

I expect most of the rain to be done late this evening, and it should give way to broken clouds.

In South Jersey, clouds are expected to diminish and the sun should be out this afternoon. Even hotter and more-humid air arrives for the weekend as we reach the lower 90s and dew points rise back into the 70s.

Sunday is the pick of the weekend.

On Lake Michigan, it'll be a partly sunny afternoon, with a high near 70. Breezy. Lows near 60. West wind 5 to 13 miles per hour. The snow level will drop to around 9,000 feet on Saturday and up to 4 inches of accumulation is possible.
