Liveauctioneers.com says the jet was owned by Elvis and his father before going to a private owner in New Mexico.
If the victor of the auction ever wants to fly the aircraft, they will need to do some work: The plane has never been restored and it is now without engines. The aircraft, owned by an unidentified "private collector", is missing its four engines and has been sitting for more than 30 years on a ramp at the famous aircraft boneyard in Roswell, New Mexico. The interior was custom created to Elvis' specifications, down to the gold-tone, woodwork, inlay and red velvet seats and red shag carpet. In January 2015, two of those jets, the "Hound Dog II" and the "Lisa Marie", which came equipped with gold-plated seat belts and a 24-carat gold-flecked sinks, went up for auction.
One of the many items that Elvis Presley collected was private planes, which he custom designed in his inimitable style.

GWS Auctions Inc. of California said on its website the plane will be auctioned May 27 at an event in California featuring celebrity memorabilia including handwritten notes from The Beach Boys and lost photos of the late R&B singer Aaliyah. But Elvis designed the interior that has red velvet seats and red shag carpet.
The bidding stands at $126,000 as of this posting, and with a pre-auction estimate of $2,000,000 to $3,500,000, and no minimum, someone might fly away with a bargain here.
It's said that the plane was "One of the first Elvis owned... he spent hundreds of thousands modifying it".
