North Korea claims plot reveals US state-sponsored terrorism

Christy Curtis | 13 May, 2017, 11:01

— Tony Kim, who also goes by his Korean name Kim Sang-duk, was detained April 22 at the Pyongyang airport.

Song Byeok's warnings come after a fourth USA citizen was detained by North Korean authorities last week, and following predictions by evangelist Greg Laurie that the isolated dictatorship may play a role in the End Times, connected with the possible destruction of America.

China is believed to have already informed North Korea of the USA proposals, the paper continued.

North Korea says it has detained another US citizen, accusing him of committing "hostile acts". It said that the country will further promote the rights and conveniences of those with disabilities and strengthen worldwide cooperation.

The U.S. State Department released a statement noting that it's aware of the latest arrest, and revealed that it's working with the the Swedish Embassy in Pyongyang to obtain more information.

Three experts downplayed a threat Tuesday from North Korea's ambassador to the United Kingdom of another nuclear test by the isolated nation and the destruction of US strategic assets.

The U.S. State Department has added new emphasis to its warning to Americans to avoid travel there as tensions grow between the United States and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (as the government grandly styles itself).

North Korea has in the past used detainees to extract concessions, including high-profile visits from the United States, which has no formal diplomatic relations with North Korea.

Little is known about Kim Hak-Song, but his detention brought renewed attention to the school, known to teach many children of the country's elite.

North Korea is now holding a total of four Americans.

"I'm going to continue to call on the President to fully enforce my legislation that will economically cripple the North Korean Regime, and if that gets this madman to send nonsensical insults at me so be it", he said. The South Korean population has elected Democratic Party candidate Moon Jae-in as their president.

It was founded in 2010 by a Korean-American Christian entrepreneur.
