President Trump continued to deliver on his campaign promise of putting brilliant conservative judges on the federal courts Monday, announcing his first large batch of nominees. Just last month, Judge Neil Gorsuch officially replaced Scalia when he was sworn in as an associate justice of the Supreme Court, in the Rose Garden of the White House.
Two of these three, Larsen and Stras, were on Trump's List of 21 for the Supreme Court vacancy filled by Gorsuch.

Before that she was a University of MI law professor, a Justice Department lawyer during President George W. Bush's administration, and a clerk for the late US Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. She clerked for the late Justice Antonin Scalia and formerly taught at the University of Michigan Law School.
Bush authored a Supreme Court brief in a high-profile case about race and public schools.
Terry Moorer, a magistrate judge on the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama, if confirmed, will serve as a district judge on the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama. Judges named by Obama to federal appellate and district courts overseeing North Carolina, Texas, Michigan and Wisconsin voted during the recent political campaign season against restrictions on voting imposed by Republican legislatures.
Of course, some critics of the Gorsuch nomination insisted that part of the problem was how the judge came to Trump's attention.
On the list of those to be announced are Justice Joan Larsen from MI and Justice David Stras from Minnesota.
Trump had one judicial nominee pending before Monday.
The White House did not immediately make available the full list of judges Trump picked to serve on federal courts. He was among 10 nominees for federal judgeships announced Monday.

The term "court packing" generally refers to President Franklin D. Roosevelt's attempt to-well-pack the court-one court in particular, the Supreme Court.
It took Obama eight years to liberalize a majority of federal appeals courts.
These nominations for lifetime appointments now go the U.S. Senate for confirmation.
