Griffiths has thrown his party's weight behind Labour ahead of the June election, pledging to support Labour's candidates rather than fielding his own.

She is expected to say: "So far during this campaign, we have learned one thing about Jeremy Corbyn: proud and patriotic working class people in towns and cities across Britain have not deserted the Labour Party - Jeremy Corbyn has deserted them".

Mr Corbyn claims this is the fourth general election in a row to be held "while Britain is at war and its armed forces in action in the Middle East and beyond".

Britain's Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn speaks to the media outside the Institute of Engineering in London, where a party meeting took place as they deal with the fallout from the sensational leak of its draft General Election manifesto.

Polish left-wing groups have called on Poles in the United Kingdom to support the Labour Party in the upcoming British parliamentary election, a statement by the Polish branch of Labour International has said.

Speaking at Chatham House in London, Mr Corbyn said: "I see it as the next Labour Government's task, as my task, to make the case for Britain to advance a security and foreign policy with integrity and human rights at its core".

The Prime Minister shot back at the Labour leader after he accused her of "pandering" to US President Donald Trump as he set out plans for a major shift in British foreign policy.

His shadow defence secretary Nia Griffith, who has clashed with him over the policy on the Trident nuclear deterrent, was notably absent from his speech at the Chatham House think tank.

"I accept that military action, under worldwide law and as a genuine last resort, is in some circumstances necessary".

Recent U.K. governments, both Conservative and Labour, have joined USA -led military interventions in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and against the Islamic State group in Syria.

Mr Corbyn also ruled out any further "hand holding" with President Donald Trump when it came to foreign defence policy, adding that he would be willing to stand up to the USA commander in chief.

The U.S. -led war on terror, in which Britain has been the country's biggest ally, has failed to increase security domestically, and has "caused destabilization and devastation overseas", Corbyn will say.

"It has not increased our security at home".

Corbyn said that a Labour government would seek greater worldwide cooperation to end the conflict in Syria and "work to halt the drift to confrontation with Russia. winding down tensions on the Russia-NATO border".

Several Polish left-wing parties and groups, including the Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) party and the Polish Socialist Party, have signed the statement, coming out strongly in support of a Labour government led by Jeremy Corbyn.
