The President previously tweeted: "The only American who has met with the North Korean man child is Dennis Rodman".
Rodman has traveled to North Korea multiple times in recent years, and he is one of the few Americans who has ever had contact with Kim Jong-Un.
Most recently, in January 2014, he and a group of retired basketball players visited for Un's birthday, including a now-viral video of Rodman singing "happy birthday". Thousands of US troops are based in South Korea, and the Demilitarized Zone between the North and South is one of the most heavily fortified borders in the world.

North Korea has become an increasing threat to the United States during Trump's time in the White House.
