Rain chances will be very isolated. The rain and clouds will help to keep high temperatures only in the lower 80s. Combine a warm breeze with some early June sunshine and we'll have our warmest day since May 16th.

More wet weather is on tap for Friday as the upper-level disturbance moves through. This time of year lightning is one of the biggest dangers. We could see some cooler nights late next week as some drier air settles into our area. If summer is your favorite season, you'll love the forecast today! Temps remain in the 80s over the weekend. The timing and intensity are coming into to focus a bit better too. The weather should be mostly dry during the morning hours with rain and thunderstorms developing during the afternoon/evening.

An area of low pressure traverses across New England today, bringing clouds and scattered showers and thunderstorms.

So if you are thinking of trying to plan outdoor activities this weekend, Saturday looks to be the day to set them up.

SUNDAY: Numerous and widespread showers and storms. Some of the storms could become strong with heavy rain and contain a few waterspouts.

"Mostly sunny" skies prevail for most of next week. We'll be dry for the middle of the week with highs in the low/mid 80s. Rain chances dwindle down as we go further into the work week. Will have to reevaluate the storm threat tomorrow.
