Pakistan booked their place in the Champions Trophy final with a crushing eight-wicket win over England in Cardiff yesterday.

Chasing 212 after Hassan Ali helped them restrict England to a modest total, openers Azhar Ali and Fakhar Zaman made 118 in the first wicket to set the tone of the win and hosts England never looked any better than being second best. Even though, Azhar fell in the 33rd over from Jake Ball (1-37), Azam and Mohammad Hafeez (31 not out) ensured they crossed the line with their unbeaten 42 run stand. Hasan was awarded the man of the match for his three wicket haul that set the game for Pakistan.

Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur said:" "We've got nothing to lose, yes, but we've always said we're in it to win it.

The England vs Pakistan Champions Trophy semi-final Match 1 live streaming will be telecasted on Star Sports 1, Star Sports HD 1, Star Sports 1 Hindi and Star Sports 1 Hindi HD channels.

Pakistan, meanwhile, will have to overcome the loss of Amir from the side that defeated Sri Lanka at this same venue two days ago to secure their spot in this semi-final.

Now India return to Edgbaston where they launched their title-defence with a 124-run thrashing of arch-rivals Pakistan. The new inclusion Jonny Bairstow looked in fine touch and found in Joe Root a flawless partner as the duo added 46 runs for the 2 wicket.

Zaman's catch brought curtains to Ali's innings and gave England their sixth jolt.

Rumman Raees, in for injured fellow left-arm quick Mohammad Amir, took two for 44 on his ODI debut. Along with Soumya Sarkar, the duo have just one fifty-run partnership (against England) in the tournament so far, while losing their first wicket for 22 and 0 against Australia and New Zealand, respectively.

They collapsed, however, on a sluggish pitch from 128 for two in sunny conditions which normally favour batsmen and the bowlers failed to fix the damage as Fakhar Zaman and Azhar Ali shared a stand of 118 to lead Pakistan to their target.

Morgan believes that experience, on the same strip prepared for this match, played its part - and spelled out that England did not take unpredictable Pakistan lightly.

Yet Bairstow, opening for the first time in ODI cricket, had a narrow escape second ball when still on nought, after Junaid Khan appealed for lbw but he was given not out and Pakistan's review was unsuccessful.

Hitting boundaries proved hard, however, and a clearly frustrated Hales, on 13, spooned Rumman Raees to cover with a loose drive. Instead, especially after the 30th over, they were fed a diet of swinging yorkers and slower balls, a combination which forced them to lose heart if not weight.

In the end, it was all-rounder Ben Stokes' 34, which helped England cross the 200-mark. Pakistan belied their reputation as a poor fielding side, with Fakhar holding a brilliant diving catch at deep square leg to dismiss Moeen Ali, while substitute Ahmed Shehzad ran out Rashid with a direct hit.
