Transformers: The Last Knight (2017) Review

Transformers Producer Confirms Female Lead 1980s Setting For 2018's Bumblebee Spinoff Mark Wahlberg accompanied daughter Ella Rae Wahlberg on date

After four movies of whittling away bits of it, Bay has completely and utterly destroyed my childhood with Transformers: The Last Knight. A number of subplots go nowhere (we still don't quite get why John Turturro needed to reprise his role as Seymour Simmons, a government official sequestered in Havana) and the whole King Arthur connection reaches the point of incredulity when the Transformers converge on Stonehenge. Oh, and there's also a military force called the "TRF" whose job is to stop Transformers, and they keep popping up when the story calls for them to show up.

"He said: "'Transformers', I still have a great time.

The Last Knight opens in its first 42 foreign territories this weekend, including a slew of major markets, such as China, the U.K., Russia, Australia, Germany, Italy, North Korea and Hong Kong. Yes, really. The Transformers gift a "weapon of ultimate power" in the form of a staff to Merlin (which can only be wielded by Merlin's direct descendants). The Last Knight holds no surprises. Now that Cybertron has been destroyed, the only thing that can restore it is by the trashed Transformer homeworld's traveling to Earth and draining out the Earth's energy (yea, it's pretty much the plot of Independence Day: Resurgence). Then at 8PM, the Mark Wahlberg film moved up to 3,000 sites. Cade and Bumblebee rescue a girl named Izabella (Isabela Moner), who is a robot mechanic on her own since her parents died. The best touch, though, is Cogman (the voice of Jim Carter), Edmund's robotic butler, a sort of C-3PO with a temper (as a robot who aims a C-3PO joke at him finds out). The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. You're like, 'Oh, I have all of these lines that I didn't know that I had.

Transformers: The Last Knight is on IMDB, BoxOfficeMojo, and Wikipedia. Inevitably, one sees easily where he wants to go but the producer specifies nevertheless it is the more modest but emotional aspect that evokes him the preparation of this spin off. Just try to relax and you'll have some fun moments along the way.

Speaking to Collider, di Bonaventura said: "I know we're doing a spin-off first in the "Bumblebee" movie and that is a very distinctive departure from what you've been seeing so far".

It's unlikely that The Last Knight's reviews will affect its performance, as the franchise has been hit with critical derision throughout its run, but this entry seems particularly dismal compared to the others, with many calling it busy an headache-inducing.
