Well-known sports presenter Richard Keys has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Arsenal will sign Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal are refusing to meet the £50m asking price for Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez.

Algeria global Riyad Mahrez recently sat down for an interview with a media company called Unscriptd, and revealed the four names he would like to play alongside in a five-a-side dream team.

Mahrez ended the campaign with a paltry return of 10 goals and 7 assists in 48 appearances across all competitions before handing in a transfer request to Leicester.

If Alexis Sanchez departs the club this summer, Lemar and Mahrez have been looked at as a possible replacements. After a first €40m bid was rejected by the French champions, the latest rumours suggest that Arsenal have made a second offer of €45m (£39.7m).

The Algeria worldwide is set to move on from the King Power Stadium this summer after a disappointing campaign previous year. On the other hand, Arsenal are only willing to spend £35 million on the player, meaning there are still a few details that need to be agreed on before the move sees the light of the day.

Mahrez could link up with Alexandre Lacazette at the Emirates.
