The deal is reportedly worth $65 million over three years.
Free agent guard Kyle Lowry announced that he will be staying with the Toronto Raptors in an essay on The Players Tribune.
The Raptors will apparently try to move Cory Joseph in order to make the salaries work now that Ibaka has signed his deal.
Ibaka is a great fit for the Toronto Raptors, as he offers ideal defense at one end, while at the same time not being totally useless offensively. In his first six seasons with the Grizzlies and Rockets, he averaged 10.4 points and 4.8 assists per game while shooting 42.0 percent from the floor. It's telling me that the Raptors can be a championship-level team, sooner than later. They would be better off letting Ibaka walk and rebuilding for the future. P.J. Tucker made a decision to sign with Houston, so Toronto has Kyle Lowry, Patrick Patterson and OG Anunoby left to sign in free agency. The Raptors may have to say goodbye to Patrick Patterson, unless Toronto's ownership is willing to pay the extra taxes to re-sign him.
Prez election a battle of ideologies: Meira Kumar
Replying to a question, the former Lok Sabha Speaker said, "From my side it is an ideological fight for secularism". The DMK has four Rajya Sabha MPs; CPI and CPI (M) have one MP each from Tamil Nadu in the Rajya Sabha.
The Thunder traded Ibaka, who spent his first seven National Basketball Association seasons in Oklahoma City, to the Orlando Magic 13 months ago in exchange for shooting guard Victor Oladipo, rookie Domantas Sabonis and power forward Ersan Ilyasova.
For a power forward, Ibaka is still an excellent rim protector.
He previously played with the Oklahoma City Thunder and has averaged 12.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per game over the course of his career. As compared to centers, however, his block rate is only a little better than average.
Meanwhile, P.J. Tucker, the other big acquisition the Raptors snagged at last season's trade deadline, will depart for Houston, having agreed to a four-year, $32 million contract. Lowry underwent wrist surgery and didn't return until the final four games of the regular season. Toronto has a lot of questions heading into the 2017-18 season, and they could regret not breaking up the team in this offseason.
