Following Tuesday's news that Brandon Knight has suffered a torn ACL and will miss the entire 2017-18 season, we're not too sure how this changes up the Suns' plans for the remainder of the summer. And you can't help but feel for both the Suns and Brandon Knight.

Last season, his third with the Suns, Knight averaged 11.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists over the course of 54 games. With the Suns way under the salary cap, they will have to pay Knight's wage. The 25-year old point guard from Miami has three more years left on his current contract with Phoenix.

Knight is scheduled to make over $13.6 million next season, over $14.6 million in 2018-19 and over $15.6 million in 2019-20. It looked like there was a path for Knight to bounce back this season, but the injury derailed any chances to do that.

Davon Reed #32 of the Phoenix Suns shoots against Johnathan Motley #55 of the Dallas Mavericks during the 2017 Summer League.

Knight averaged 11 points per game previous year.

Knight's injury may provide a larger role for Tyler Ulis and perhaps second-round pick Davon Reed.
