The developer's community manager, Sammie Kang, chimed in on Twitter confirming that the update will also include an FOV slider.

As if PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds wasn't already challenging enough, you will be able to bump it up a notch soon and play on first-person only dedicated servers coming sometime very soon according to a tweet from the game's Creative Director.

Restricting the game to first-person allows for a more hardcore experience, as players will have to play more aggressive and peek in the open if they want to visualize a target. However, they will not be available across all servers or game modes.

First-person-only servers will be coming to NA and European Union region solo and duo games first, then expanding to other regions and game types.

Aaron Rodgers wins best NFL Player and Best Play at ESPY Awards
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is one of the game's best QBs, and may very well be one of the greatest of all time. Green Bay made it all the way to the NFC Championship Game before falling to that Atlanta Falcons on the road, 44-21.

Bluehole has also released the latest weekly update for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds that improves UI performance, fixes inventory display issue on 4:3 resolution, and optimizes Care Package airplane.

We will bring 1st person only to EU/NA SOLO & DUO games first, and once we have polished the system, we will expand to other regions. When you remove the third-person camera, players who play extremely defensive and camp will no longer have the advantage in gunfights.

A dedicated first-person mode for PUBG may be a ways away, however.

Seems PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is about to get even more intense.
