The host had no idea the steamy clip was being watched behind her - and the colleague with his headphones in clearly did not realise 3.8m people could see his screen.
Except for Anna Paquin, who recognized herself immediately.
Now, the actress has branded the awkward incident "hilarious", taking to Twitter to say: "My breasts!".
While many commentators believed the footage was porn, it was actually one of Anna's True Blood sex scenes with co-star Robert Kazinsky.
"My breasts! So amusing on so many levels", she tweeted along with a news report about the incident yesterday.
"Now that I know what you guys were talking about this some of the funniest s**t I've seen in a while", she told her 182,000 followers, adding: "Thanks for the giggle!"
