A British model was kidnapped and put up for auction online after she was tricked into attending a fake photoshoot, police in Italy have said.
According to Italian authorities, after possibly not getting any offers online, the kidnapper then began blackmailing the model's agency, asking for $300,000 in ransom for her return.
It emerged this morning how the woman was drugged, handcuffed and loaded into a vehicle boot in Milan before being driven 200km to a farmhouse in Turin where she was kept for six days.
The woman was released after being held for six days and investigations are being carried out by authorities in Italy, Poland and the UK. The 20-year-old has given statements to police.
It has been reported that the captor demanded £50,000 upon the woman's release and threatened to kill her if she told police about the incident.
Lukasz Herba was arrested July 17 outside the British consulate in Milan while accompanying the woman, said Lorenzo Bucossi, the head of the Milan Police Mobile Command unit.
Guilty: 'Pharma Bro' Martin Shkreli Convicted Of Securities Fraud
The Friday decision ends five days of jury deliberations after a five-week trial in federal court in Brooklyn. His defense argued that Shkreli did not have "fraudulent intent" to rip off investors.
She arrived at an apartment the following day for the shoot, where she was attacked by two men, say police.
Police say the model was freed after discovering she had a young son, which broke the vile group's rules to exclude mums.
They also alleged Herba had dealings in "chemicals and poisons" as he faced a pre-trial hearing before magistrate Anna Magelli in Milan on Friday.
Herba is said to have kept the woman at the house for six days before dropping her off at the British consulate in Milan.
A Milan court heard the woman arrived in Milan on July 11 and was seized near the central station when she was drugged with ketamine. It is now unclear why the kidnapping came to an end.
The woman's modelling agency then contacted police and Herba reportedly negotiated a ransom for about USD$60,000 ($75,000) with them.
