The 6-foot-9 Kok, who played college basketball at San Diego, appeared to strike Gallinari in the head with a forearm when boxing him out.

The match was going fine until Gallinari took exception to an aggressive box out attempt by the Netherlands' Jito Kok and things went downhill fast. The recovery time is expected to be 5-6 weeks.
