Former Bear Jay Cutler will play football again

Here's How Much Jay Cutler's One-Year Deal Is Worth Dolphins reportedly considered signing Tebow before deal with Cutler

Cutler announced earlier this year he was going to become an analyst with FOX sports, but now the former Bear has reportedly made a decision to sign a one year deal with the Miami Dolphins.

With the Bears last season, Cutler played in just five games, as he totaled four touchdown passes and five interceptions.

When the Miami Dolphins lost Ryan Tannehill for the season with an injury late last week the Patriots AFC East conversation was seemingly locked up. "We have a good plan in place".

Miami's one-year deal with QB Jay Cutler is worth $10 million, plus incentives, per source.

Then, Gase was asked what Cutler's learning curve will be like in the month or so that remains between his arrival in Davie and the beginning of the regular season. "And we'll see how it goes".

Gase is hoping to find some of that magic back with Cutler from their days together in the Windy City.

The acquisition of Cutler has potential to divide a locker room where Moore enjoys strong support, especially after he helped Miami clinch a playoff berth while Tannehill was sidelined last December.

"I would probably say my wife, Kristin (Cavallari), probably talked me into it more than anybody else could".

Cutler, however, is unlikely to save the Dolphins season or make them a favorite by any stretch of the imagination.

That includes Moore. He said he still considers himself a contender for the starting job after a drama-free conversation with Gase about the need to sign Cutler.

Gase was not ready to reveal that Tanehill is going to have season-ending knee surgery. The new quarterback is expected to go through his first practice Tuesday morning. But that didn't stop football tweeters from across the country from preying on just the right moments in the press conference to turn into internet hilarity.
