Shraddha Kapoor debuts in south opposite Prabhas

After "Baahubali", there were a lot of names of actresses doing the rounds who were keen to do the film, but makers felt Shraddha fit the role perfectly. While Hindustan Times reports that the Half Girlfriend actor is being paid Rs 4 crore, Pinkvilla reports that the makers had to shell out Rs 9 crore to get a nod from her. On the eve of Independence Day, the makers confirmed that Shraddha Kapoor has been locked to play the female lead and she will be joining the sets of Saaho from September.

Producers (Vamsi and Pramod) of UV Creations confirmed the news saying, "Shraddha is absolutely the flawless choice for the role". Fans are super psyched because the Telugu star will be seen in a whole new action avatar, far from his Baahubali look.

There was much talk about the popular romantic pair Prabhas and Anushka Shetty coming together for the fifth time in Saaho.

Directed by Sujeeth, Saaho will be made with an extravagant budget of over Rs 150 crore. Post Baahubali's roaring success, the actor from the looks of it has hiked his fee. For both parts of Baahubali, the actor had charged somewhere around Rs 20-25 crore. In that sense Saaho has BEAT SS Rajamouli's Bahaubali 2 by 5 crore! While both are being paid a steep fee, we can't help but notice the glaring pay disparity. It is being said that some portions of the film will also be shot in Romania and Abu Dhabi. Her reasoning was that as the film is being shot in three languages - Hindi, Tamil and Telugu - simultaneously, the shooting would be more taxing for her and she wouldn't be able to shoot for other films then.

Prabhas starts filming for the same from mid-August. Do share your comments in the box below!
