Yes, Facebook and Instagram really are down

Facebook, Instagram suffer worldwide outage Facebook and Instagram services interrupted, users unable to post or browse

Many of them can't even log in to the most popular social networking site in the world.

The outage appears to be affecting the Facebook owned Instagram, as well. Instagram users also faced the same issue while trying to access the network.

Both Facebook and Instagram are down for many users this morning. Do Instagram and Facebook load for you?

Facebook users flooded in to figure out three things: if they were the only ones affected, what the issue was, and when it will be fixed. "If Twitter has a meltdown and crashes, where do we go???" Facebook was back up in the Los Angeles area shortly after 7 a.m. In June, the platform announced that it had reached the enviable milestone of having more than 2 billion monthly active users (MAUs).

Let us know in the comments if Facebook is down for you too.

The app appeared to be working again at about 3.40pm United Kingdom time, and a temporary outage on Facebook seemed to have been rectified at about the same time.
