Kevin Durant calls Twitter blunder 'childish' and 'idiotic' day after trashing Thunder Kevin Durant calls Twitter blunder 'childish' and 'idiotic' day after trashing Thunder

When a fan asked him on Twitter to give one good reason why he left Oklahoma City for Golden State in free agency - which was his right to do - Durant went in deep. "I happened to take it a little too far". 'Jared, we want you to sit down.' No big deal. "I was pretty mad at myself".

Shortly after, Durant's alleged secret Instagram was uncovered and lead one person on a bit of an investigative trail. Imagine being a player on the Thunder not named Russell Westbrook; Durant basically just said you aren't good that good and that he couldn't win a championship with you. This is a truly weird situation in need of more explanation, but it looks like this is all we'll get for now.

"We didn't have any plans of starting our own media company, but once we saw the reaction to our YouTube page, we tried to hit the ground running and tried to build this thing up", he said. This tweet from 2009 remains true to this day. He told USA Today's Sam Amick he never wanted to hurt the Thunder, and he did send an apology to Donovan.

Durant said while he would continue to interact with fans, he expected to scale back his social media activity.

But their fury wasn't just down to his decision to leave, but to who he was joining.

Ryanair publishes list of cancelled flights
Manchester United fans react angrily after RyanAir cancel flights to Lisbon ahead of their Champions League clash with Benfica . The flights cancelled were between Dublin and four destinations - Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Nantes and Santander.

"I was up at 6 a.m. and he [Durant] calls me and says, 'Yo, are you up?' And I'm like, 'Yeah, what's up?' And he's like [yelling], 'Why the f- did you let me do this to my life?'"

On Sunday night, a series of odd tweets came from Durant's verified account. "I was just on there talking".

"I was anxious about how my peers were going to feel about me", he told Steinberg.

Otherwise, Durant said he understands that his NBA acclaim doesn't necessarily guarantee that he's the smartest person in the room, but that he applies numerous same skills he uses to play basketball when he's considering an investment.

"You can take what you want from it, do what you want with it", Durant said.
