Lenovo and Google Unveil Moto X4 Android One Edition for $399

Rosalie Gross | 21 September, 2017, 01:16

Today, the company also revealed the Moto X4 Android One edition for $399. As such, it will be updated to Android Oreo promptly (promised by the end of the year) and Android P, which will launch in 2018.

Recently, Motorola India confirmed that the Moto X4 is set to launch in India on 3rd October via a tweet. But many of you have asked us for more options for high quality, affordable devices that work with Project Fi.

Additionally, Google is giving some incentives for existing Fi customers to upgrade to Moto X4 Android One.

The Android One moto x4 is priced at $399, comes in Super Black and Sterling Blue, and is available only in the US on Project Fi's network for pre-order on the Project Fi websitestarting today. It comes in two versions with either 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, or as 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, both versions can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.

The rear dual camera setup compromises of a 12-Megapixel sensor+8-Megapixel ultra-wide angle lens with 120-degree field of view.

Customers in the USA can pre-order the Android One edition of the Moto X4 starting today. The front-facing camera comes packed with 16MP and an adaptive low light mode. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery and supports TurboPower fast charging technology that can give six hours of usage in just 15 minutes. Also, the Moto X4 seems to be a disappointment for some Motorola fans as the device won't pack Motorola's nifty additions such as Moto display, the One-handed navigation key, etc. The device measures 148.35×73.4×7.99mm and weigh 163 grams. And with free high quality storage from Google Photos, you never have to worry about running out of space. It is the first Android One smartphone to be launched in the United States and joins Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi's Mi A1 among the Android One phones released in the recent times.
