The helicopter crash that killed Troy Gentry of country act Montgomery Gentry on September 8 in New Jersey was caused by a faulty engine, TMZ reports.

The report states that several minutes after takeoff, the pilot reported that he was unable to control the RPM (revolutions per minute) of the engine. The report's findings expand upon initial reports that the helicopter pilot experienced mechanical issues prior to crashing.

In a report obtained by TMZ, the NTSB revealed that the pilot lost control of the aircraft when the engine would not respond to throttle inputs.

The report says the pilot, 1000 feet up, made a decision to perform an emergency procedure called an autorotation - in which the rotor turns from upward airflow, without the engine. Robinson initiated the autorotation at 950 feet.

"During the descent, the rotor rpm decayed to the point where the instructor could see the individual rotor blades", the report said.

The two sides also expressed deep concern over the atrocities being committed against Rohingyas in Myanmar. Khawaja Asif is accompanied by National Security Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Nasser Janjua.

Troy Gentry, best known as part of the country music duo Montgomery Gentry, will be remembered Thursday morning with a celebration of life at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.

"The sounds of impact were heard", the report explains.

Pilot James Evan Robinson, who was an instructor at the airport's flight school, and Gentry were killed in the 1 p.m. crash last Friday afternoon.

The helicopter never made it that far. It was most recently inspected on August 17. Crews worked for hours to remove Robinson's body from the wreck.
