The general consensus was that Cruise did wear a prosthetic - but for safety, not vanity.

Tom Cruise is a real-life action hero on the set of his movies - but his ass is even realer. according to one of his co-stars.

"I have no idea (about that rumour)", said the bemused star, before making it clear: "There was no prosthetic in Valkyrie. No".

In an interview with Screen Rant published on Tuesday, The American Made actor addressed the rumor, insisting, "There was no prosthetic in Valkyrie".

Awkward camera angle or not, we can all agree that Cruise has been working on his squats for years.

"It's me. It's not CGI, it's me".

"I do my own mooning in films", he added.

Agreed. Watching the clip, the fake butt shot comes in the midst of a scene where Cruise's character has been flung to the ground by an explosion. "So let it be known, I do my own mooning". This is 2017. Asses are in.

Tom Cruise is an award-winning actor, producer, and, in the 2008 movie Valkyrie, a German army officer with a huuuuuuge butt. It is a fake butt.
