Rock star Marilyn Manson was injured during a concert in NY when a large piece of stage scenery fell on him on stage. "He is being treated at a local hospital", a spokesperson for Marilyn Manson told Rolling Stone.

The singer's band continued playing for several minutes before the stage lights came on and the venue announced that the show was over "due to injury".

The affected shows include gigs in Boston, Massachusetts; Chicago, Illinois; Toronto, Canada; and Houston, Texas, with Manson expected to resume the trek in Grand Prairie, Texas on October 15.

There is no official statement at this time regarding the specific nature of Manson's injuries. But the singer appeared to take a misstep, falling backwards as the prop then tumbled down on top of him.

On Sunday (October 1), we learned that he would be cancelling nine dates on his current Heaven Upside Down Tour.

Fans said they then watched as a curtain was put up where the incident had taken place.
